The Design Process
-
This first meeting is essential to the success of any project. It can take place in person or as an online e-consult. We use this time to understand your vision and ideas, forming the foundation of the design direction ahead. The conversation also helps confirm scope, timescales, and budget so that everyone begins with a clear and aligned brief.
-
The concept stage adjusts to the scale and needs of each project. We develop mood boards to communicate style and intent, explore layout and design options, and create perspective visuals that clearly show the direction of the scheme. This phase is a collaborative space to refine ideas, test possibilities, and establish a confident, cohesive design.
-
Once the concept design is approved, we move into the concept development stage, where the design is sharpened and given real definition. We refine the palette, materials, and key details, building on the creative direction set earlier. At this point we also prepare the necessary FF&E schedules and lighting plans and develop any scaled plans or elevations required to support the design. Custom furniture and joinery are detailed here too, ensuring the creative vision is matched with technical clarity.
-
With the design resolved, we offer build support to help carry the vision through to installation. We coordinate with contractors and suppliers, guide the selection and procurement of furniture, lighting, and appliances, and support on-site fitment. Snagging is included so the final result aligns with both the design and the details.
-
As the final layer of the design process, we curate and style the space to bring it to life. This includes sourcing and placing decorative pieces such as cushions, throws, vases, art, and unique objects that reflect your personality and complement the overall design. These finishing touches create a cohesive, polished look.
